Photos meetings 2026

On 16th May we had another workshop with Dan Butler. Lots of interesting pots were made in all shapes and sizes. Some were put outside to start drying them, but it started to rain and they had to be brought back in quickly.
Dan explained what was needed to make the feet and then members were able to do their own. It was another great day with Dan and hopefully we can do more in the future.
The workshop on 8th May was well attended with a number of trees being prepared for the show next month. These included Chinese Elms and a Larch.
Tree of the month was a first in advanced for ian with his Paul Scarlet Hawthorn, second Ade with his Hawthorn and third Geoff with a Hawthorn. Intermediate was a first for Mike with a Larch. Novice first was Heather with a Cotoneaster.

We had another good workshop in the Silver Band Hall. Some re potting was done and also pruning and wiring.
The 14th March was the workshop with Chris Thomas. Lots of trees were worked on including a Lodgepole Pine and a Scots Pine, also several Junipers and also a Larch. It was an excellent day.
The March meeting on 13th went without a hitch, with re potting done on several trees. Also styled and wired some other species. Tree of the month was first for Ian with a Forsythia and joint second Ade and Geoff.
The workshop at the Silver Band Hall was a good start for the year. It was cold and the heating had failed but we managed. Trees worked were a Silverberry defoliated, a large Larch wired, two Chinese Elms worked, a large Spruce wired and a Hawthorn checked over and cleaned up amongst others.
An enjoyable day. There was also an intruder in the shape of a Ladybird.
The Annual General Meeting was followed by a workshop.
There was no change to Chair or treasurer, but Heather and Mike T were added as members.
Tree of the month for 2025 novice was Mike Bryan intermediate was Pat and advanced Ade.
The workshop was quite busy with some nice trees.
This month was the start for tree of the month Mike Telfer was first intermediate and Ade Taylor was first advanced.
